You could use the following when reaching out to a fraternal organization to provide them with information about LKDN Fraternal Education Initiative. Please bcc me.

Subject: Educating the public about living kidney donation

I’d like to introduce myself. (Or, “I’m following up on our conversation” if you’ve previously spoke.)

I’m a volunteer for the Living Kidney Donors Network, (LKDN) a 501(c)3 organization whose primary mission is to help those who need a kidney transplant pursue a successful living kidney transplant.

LKDN also helps educate the public about the need for living kidney donors. Unlike the very successful programs that have educated the public about the need to register to be an organ and tissue donor, there have been very few programs that educate the public about living kidney donation. The LKDN Fraternal Education Initiative is the first national program to educate the public about this need.

Just a few quick facts, there are over 102,000 people waiting for a kidney transplant. Most are on kidney dialysis and wait more than 5 years, and kidney from a living donor lasts on average twice as long as one from a deceased donor.

I would like to have the opportunity to be a guest speaker at your club. LKDN has developed a short 15-minute presentation about living kidney donation. Educating others with this information saves lives.

Those attending will have a new appreciation about the need for living kidney donors and will learn how one donor can save many lives.

I will contact you again with the hope of setting up a time for me to present this information to your club.

This link will provide you with more information about the Fraternal Education Initiative.
