Tuesdays with … April 18, 2016

Here’s your Tuesdays with…. update for those in need of a kidney transplant and their advocates. You could use the following information and email to family members, friends and post on your Facebook page and other social media outlets. You could also include additional information about your health, progress and other activities. If this is your first Tuesdays with… update, click here to learn how to use Tuesdays with… to expand on your Kidney Kampaign.

As I continue to seek a match for a kidney donor, I think it is essential for me to communicate the different stages of kidney disease in order for you to gain an understanding of my situation. As you will see in the attached picture, there are 5 total stages of kidney disease. I am in stage (enter in your stage number).

Each day, I take many steps to prevent me from inevitably going on dialysis (*If you are on dialysis, you can change to read I take many steps while I am on dialysis). Each day, with my diligence, I conscientiously make decisions to follow the recommendations. In addition, each day, I maintain my determination to strive to find a kidney donor so I no longer have to look at the stages of kidney disease.

In conclusion, now that I have shared this information with you, and you are conscientious of my condition, I would be appreciative if you could make others aware of this disease and my quest to find a donor.

Can you suggest another way to let others know about your need? Please share it with us by Clicking Here and we will include in in a future Tuesdays With... update.

If you know someone else in need of a kidney transplant or would like to pass this on to your doctor or a dialysis/transplant social worker please provide him or her with this link:
